Lazy Days

Do you ever just have those days when you just can't get going?  You just wish you could lay in a bed like this all day.

Or soak in a tub like this...
http://thisphotographerslife.blogspot.com/

I have a whole list of things I need to get done.  I just don't have any moto in me to do it!
Is there anywhere I can buy that in a bottle!  Like a lifetime supply?

Inspirational Quote

My good friend had this quote on her blog.  Her parents had it printed out in vinyl and she has it in her entry way so that they can see it all the time!  What a great thing to be reminded of all the time.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear in that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness,
that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the World. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won’t feel unsure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
As we let our own Light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Organization

Since it is the start of the new year and we all have the extra crap stuff from Christmas in our houses, I think it is time to organize!
Here are a few things that I did last year that have worked for me and very easy to keep up.  Sometimes when we organize it is hard to keep up because were either:
 1. Too lazy to put it back where it goes.
2. It isn't an efficient system that we have made.
These are things that have worked for me.

This picture is the underneath part of those built in shelves.  I just took hooks and put them in the 1x3's, bought fish hook containers in the fishing dept. @ Wal-Mart, organized my jewelry to my liking.
 Bata-bing Bata-bang!

It also works to hang bracelets and necklaces!

The rest of the sheves I use to put my pants on.
It seems to work better for me than hanging them up.

I use all white hamger for a uniform look.
I hang my clothes first according to color and then short sleeve or long sleeves.
When I take a piece of clothing off of the hanger, I simply put the hanger back where I got it from and then I know exactly where to put the item back after I am done wearing it!  That way I found I am never searching for hangers.

For my shoes I went and got the dollar bins from Wal-Mart.
Make sure that they are clear so you can see what is in there without opening a bunch of containers!

Happy Organizing!

Nursery Wall for baby K

I came across this picture of a wall I did for my brother and his wife for their baby's nursery.  I don't think I have posted it before.  It turned out really cute.  The rest of the room was painted brown.  She had a big K on the wall for "Kingston".  And some other cutre decor.

Tin Shelf has a new home!

I have found a new home for the thrift store tin shelf!  Above the potty in my master bedroom.  Funny place you might say.  But it looks cute!

Gotta Love a Good Bargain

I went to the thrift store yesterday and found some great deals!  Nothing like a good bargain!

I found these cute fabric storage bins for $3/both.  They fold down for an easy put away!

They have a little place for a label!  Can't beat that for $3!

I also found this decorative tin shelf for a whopping $2!!!

This heavy duty planter was only $1!
Stay tuned for what I do with them!

My Home Goals for 2010

Wow! 2010!  Doesn't the sound of that just sound crazy? I don't know why, it is not that much different than 2009!  It just seems weird to me!

I am making a goal this year to get some stuff done that has been on my mind for quite sometime.  We all have 1,000,000,000 and 1 things we would like to get done in our homes and I am not excluded from those who do.  It seems as though my brain is so full, sometimes I feel as that I am going crazy!  So I am making a list of my goals here and crossing them off as I go.  Maybe this way I will feel a little more saine!
Here are some of the things that I would like to accomplish:

1.  A little work done in my Master Bedroom
-some new bedding
-maybe some wallpaper (Yes, I did say wallpaper.  A nice Damask?)
-a little molding to dress it up

Maybe something like this for the bedding?
Go here to see more great photo's like this one.

Molding? Maybe something like this?

I just got this new bed, so I am trying to decide what would look good with it.  I want a modern/traditional look.

I also have a chair that looks just like the ones in this photo

So if I could just pull all of these looks together for this lonely bedroom that would be great! (New bed not pictured)

2.  Some nice patio furniture
I have worked really hard on my yard since we have built this house 3 yrs. ago.  There a quite a few things that I would like to do.  I love to sit out on my back patio and enjoy myself during the summer, but there is one little problem.  I have been doing it on crappy plastic furniture.
Maybe something like this would be much nicer?!

3.  I would like to try some beadboard in my family room with maybe a coffered ceiling.

Something like this for the ceilings?

And this for the beadboard?

Don't you think this would just add to my Family Room?  It is looking a little plain in these pictures!

4.  I would like to turn my vegetable garden into square foot gardening instead of an overgrown jumbled mess.

Maybe something like this would be manageable?

5.  This last one is for my poor little husband
-Organize the garage back to how it was before we finished the room in the basement.  I have a lot of things that I just don't use anymore.  But I just can't get myself to get out into that 20 degree weather to go and spiffy it up!  Maybe when it gets warmer babe!
I am sure there are more things that will be added as time goes on.  My brain never seems to let me rest!  But this is it for now!
