Exciting News

So do you remember last year when I posted these pictures of this house that I was dreaming of purchasing and doing a makeover on?  Well the family that ended up purchasing the home wants me to help them re-do the house!
I couldn't be more thrilled!!!

Using Old with the New

I helped my Second Mom today with her house.  She just got new beautiful hand scraped wood floors, Bead board on some of her walls, new iron stair rails and textured walls.  She wanted me to come over and help her put everything back together.  She is a lover of sentimental old junk like me, so together we make the perfect pair of junkers.
I had a blast going through every room in her house and her garage, looking for junk.  These are just some of the things that I found!

I will hopefully show you soon what we did with these fun treasures!

Making memories Meaningful!

Making Memories Meaningful
I have always been sentimental and love to have family pictures displayed around my home.  Old and new.  My favorites are old family pictures of my parents, grandparents, and great grandparents.
Here are a few ways that I make memories meaningful...

These are pictures of my Great Grandparents.
All intact in the original bubble glass frames.
I love that I have them.

This is a picture of my Grandpa's House that he grew up in as a kid.  They are all standing on the porch of the home in the picture.

 My Dad as a child.

I love this picture of my Grandpa.  He was such a good man!

My mother with her Granparents.
Can you see the beautiful Fox Gloves in the background?

A wall in my Family Room full of new and old pictures.

This one is also one of my favorites.
It is my Grandpa, sitting on a camel, in Egypt during WWII.

This one is a picture of my Granparents pushing my
aunt in a cute little buggy down the street.
I can just imagine them strolling down the street on a Saturday afternoon,
going in and out of cute little shops.
How do you "Make your Memories meaningful?"

My type of House!

There is a cute newer subdivision here in Ut called Daybreak.  The subdivision has homes that are brand new, but reminisent of the old.
They are great homes and I was so glad that I finally made it up there.
Take a look!

A lot of the houses had built in benches around the dining table.
 Great for a big family!

Loved the vintage look of this girls room!

Check out all this great trim work!

Loved this room full of windows!
